The NOVINGER FAMILY is a branch of the NABINGER FAMILY from western Germany. The use of the spelling NOVINGER, instead of NABINGER, began in the United States in the early 1700’s by the descendants of Theobald (Dewalt) Nabinger. The NABINGER spelling is still used by the Family in Germany and by the descendants who immigrated to the United States without changing the spelling. The NABINGERS and The NOVINGERS are One Family, descended from the same ancestor.
